Handwriting made fun

I purchased a Crayola Dry Erase wipe off board and it has proven to be a total blast in our OT sessions!  I am sliding the Handwriting Without Tears worksheets in and have the students practice their writing on the wipe off board before slipping out the worksheet and trying it in pencil.  The kids love it, I'm saving paper and it's very motivating!!

  1. I've never seen this product before--will look for it at ToysRUs when I do my Christmas shopping. I've been using tracing paper with the HWT booklets and it helps the students use their non-dominant hands to secure the paper. If that's too hard I use large paperclips to secure the tracing paper. Very low tech!

  2. I will slide the page into a page protector and use dry erase markers. I see Crayola makes dry erase crayons and wonder if they would work.

  3. I could only find it online, I bought it through Target. Thanks for looking!! You both have great ideas, I'll give them a try or offer for families at home for practice.

  4. I found at Michael's after Christmas. I was able to use a 50% off coupon, so it cost $8. It works really nicely.
